Shipping Policy

Where We Ship

Thompson and Timber ships within the United States only. We do not currently ship to international destinations or APO/FPO addresses.

Shipments to Hawaii are subject to an additional $50 shipping fee applied at checkout.

Shipping Carrier and Cost

All mailbox posts ship via UPS. Standard shipping is free on all post orders within the contiguous United States.

Production and Lead Times

Every mailbox post is built to order. Please allow the following before your order ships:

Mailbox Posts (The Summit and The Ridge): 7 to 10 business days production time before shipment.

Solar Mailbox Light: 1 to 2 business days before shipment.

Business days do not include weekends or federal holidays. You will receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order leaves the shop.

Transit Time

Once your order ships, please allow 5 to 7 business days for delivery via UPS. Total time from order to delivery is typically 12 to 17 business days for mailbox posts.

Damaged Orders

We package every post carefully, but freight damage can occasionally occur. If your order arrives damaged, please do the following within 48 hours of delivery:

Take clear photos of the damage to the packaging and the product before moving or installing anything. Email those photos to thompsonandtimber@gmail.com with your order number in the subject line.

We will review the photos and ship replacement pieces at no charge. We do not require you to return the original order.

Returns and Replacements

Mailbox Posts: Because every post is custom built to your specifications, we do not accept returns. All sales are final once production has begun. If there is an issue with your order outside of shipping damage, please contact us directly and we will work with you to make it right.

Solar Mailbox Light: If your solar light arrives defective or damaged, we will replace it at no charge. Please contact us at thompsonandtimber@gmail.com with your order number and a description of the issue.
