The Summit - Custom Cedar Mailbox Post | Large Model

The Summit is a large-format, handbuilt cedar mailbox post designed for homeowners who want a permanent, architectural exterior upgrade. Built to order in Utah from sealed cedar and premium SmartSide treated material, every Summit is finished by hand and customized to your exact specifications before it ships.

This is not a decorative accessory. It is a structural exterior detail built to last for years on your curb.

Materials & Construction

Every Summit is built using 1" SmartSide treated material, a premium engineered wood product designed for superior moisture resistance, dimensional stability, and long-term performance in harsh outdoor conditions including UV exposure, freeze-thaw cycles, and seasonal rain.

Every post is hand-assembled and hand-finished to order. No two are identical. Production begins when you place your order.

Finish Options

The Summit is fully customizable. Select your preferences directly on this page before adding to cart:

  • Wood Finish - Cedar, Natural Pine, Blued Pine, Chocolate, Walnut, White, Black, or Custom Color
  • Trim Finish - Black, White, Gray, Cedar, Natural Pine, Chocolate, Walnut, or Blued Pine
  • Address Number Color - Black, White, Gold, or Silver

Custom color finishes are available for an additional charge and are noted in the variant selector.

Address Numbers

Your street address numbers are mounted to the post before shipment. Enter your mailbox street number in the Mailbox Details field on this page. Your number color is selected above as part of your finish choices.

Solar Light Option

A solar-powered accent light is available in Black or White finish, or select None if not needed. The light mounts to the top cap of the post, charges during the day, and illuminates automatically at dusk. No wiring required. Select your preference in the Mailbox Details section on this page.

Mailbox Compatibility

The Summit post is designed to pair with a compatible mailbox top insert. If you are sourcing your mailbox top separately, please confirm it matches the post dimensions listed below before ordering. Mailbox top sold separately unless otherwise noted at checkout.

Lead Time

Every Summit is built to order. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for production before your order ships. You will receive a shipping notification with tracking once your post leaves our shop.

Installation

The Summit is designed for secure in-ground installation. The post legs set into dug ground holes at a recommended depth of 21.5 inches and can be backfilled with soil or fast-setting concrete. Most installs are completed in under an hour with two people and basic tools.
